Woke up to a beautiful, windy day in Chicago. Whole bean coffee, eggs, bacon, and of course, the Breds have gotta be toasted and buttered.

I got caught up in the calm of the morning, fell behind schedule, and had to rush out the door. I stubbed the same foot I did yesterday trying to cross over the ottoman. Might have a Black Toe.

“We Are the World” came on through my headphones as I kept it pushing down the block. I saw a Sox fan walking towards me headed toward the “L” in her Black and White pinstripes. I warned her about the group of Cubs fans around the corner in the Shadows. She smiled and said, “South Side.”

Treated like Royals when I walk into my barbershop. Though I haven’t been here long, “Big UNC” takes care of the low cut and even tempered, his opinion on the game is Neutral Grey. When I looked outside, I realized I’d been shooting the buck for hours.

On the walk back to the house I made note of the sunset’s sexy color palette - almost Metallic Orange and Metallic Red reflecting from the buildings. Once settled, kicked my shoes off and I propped my feet on the ottoman that almost killed me earlier. Looking down, I thought to myself, “at one point these were $65 FOR RETAIL.
